About Mr. Hilliar

Originally from the beautiful North Shore of Auckland, Jason Hilliar has combined his passions for beautiful hair and timeless design to create his unique salon space, Mr. Hilliar.

Throughout his more than 20 years’ experience as a creative colourist, stylist and educator in both New Zealand and Australia, Jason has brought expert skill and an eye for detail to his work with hair - and now he has brought that same expertise to the salon space and its client experience.

The salon environment was born from a love of architecture and design - fostered through his father’s work as constructing homes in NZ - combined with an embracing of mindfulness and a strong connection to nature.

The salon is located in a beautiful art-deco building in the heart of creative, eclectic and diverse Brunswick, a suburb in Melbourne’s inner north.

Jason’s aim was to create a genuine ‘getaway’ from the hustle of Brunswick’s Sydney Road - a lush and elegant space where clients can really take a breath and feel like they’ve escaped. Your salon experience will be calming, relaxed and memorable - just like New Zealand itself.
